ESG compliance

Which ESG rules apply to your company, and can you prove it

Which rules apply depends on sector, size, legal form, product and the countries in which you operate. Companies are caught off guard by legislation they didn't know applied to them, and national gold-plating per country is consistently underestimated. Policy and practice diverge, evidence is scattered, obligations have no fixed owner. As a result, the board cannot demonstrate that it is in control, and that is a problem in itself.

1

Applicability scan

Based on the obligations matrix, you determine which legislation applies, including national gold-plating per country.

2

Gap and control structure

Per obligation you see met, gap or risk, with owner, control and frequency in a control matrix.

3

Evidence and board report

Documents per obligation in a vault, with an audit-ready trail and a one-page board report.

1 registercsrdcompliance does not build a second set of rules; it runs on the reglia obligations matrix.
4 scan stepsApplicability, gap, control matrix and remediation roadmap follow one another.
5 policy documentsEnvironmental policy, supplier code, whistleblower policy, minutes and materiality analysis as a standard checklist.
3 routesDo it yourself, partly guided or fully outsourced, with the tool as the record in all three.

What it delivers

The Compliance Check starts with an applicability scan, read-first on the obligations matrix: CSRD/VSME, CSDDD, EUDR, PPWR, CBAM, sector-specific rules and national gold-plating per country. Per obligation, the tool shows met, gap or risk, weighted by likelihood and impact, followed by a control matrix with owner, control, frequency and record-keeping. A remediation roadmap ranks the gaps by risk, aligned with your existing risk structure. Policy-versus-practice is assessed with a document checklist per obligation, stored in a vault with an audit-ready trail from report line to source to evidence. A horizon-scanner subscription flags what is changing, who it affects and what needs to happen. Per obligation, the tool also shows the opportunity side, stated factually: better supplier information, lower costs, a stronger story.

How it works

Company profile

Read-first recorded as the basis for the scan.

Applicability scan

Which obligations apply, including national gold-plating.

Gap assessment and evidence

Per obligation, policy, practice and documents in the vault.

Control matrix, roadmap and report

Ownership, risk ranking and a one-page board report, followed by the scanner subscription.

What this explicitly is not

  • No second set of rules csrdcompliance does not build its own obligations register; it runs on the reglia obligations matrix and the reglia module datasets.
  • No proven track record There are no completed projects to point to; the tool structures, it does not prove history.
  • Not yet a working tool The button is in waitlist mode; there is currently no active Compliance Check.

Three outcomes

Every report ends in three routes. You choose; we deliver the analysis, not the engagement.

1

Do it yourself

Do it yourself: register, control matrix and roadmap, with evidence vault and a quarterly board report.

2

Partly guided

Partly guided: a partner supports the policy-versus-practice review and the board training.

3

Outsource it

Outsourced: the full compliance process at the partner, with the check as the baseline measurement.

The next step

What the compliance burden really costs

Every obligation costs hours: gathering, checking, reporting. The workload scan calculates that compliance burden in FTEs, and how much of it AI can take over, pre-filled with your list of obligations as task context.

We are building the datasets the analysis relies on. Let us know you're watching, and you'll hear as soon as the first measurements go live.
